Meet the Principal
As Mrs. Lester started out in her career in education, she says she knew she wanted to be a part of the Victor Elementary School District’s team. She began at Brentwood Elementary teaching 5th grade and then moved to Challenger where she taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. It was at Challenger where she began to make the moves towards administration, becoming a part of Challenger’s Leadership team before moving on to Principal at West Palms Conservatory.
At West Palms, Mrs. Lester is able to foster own her passion for performing arts, as she joins the children in one of the electives of learning how to play the violin. Mrs. Lester finds her joy in spending time with her three children and her seven grandchildren. She also still finds joy in interior design, with her own taste being “traditional rustic,” which she describes as old mixed in with the new.
Mrs. Lester attended Chaffey College, originally intending to pursue a career in interior design. Although she did not continue a career in designing, she dedicated her time to her children, becoming a stay at home mom. During this time she volunteered at her children’s schools, sparking her interest of working in education. As her children got older, Mrs. Lester made the decision to go back to school and attend Chapman University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and two Master’s degrees, one in Curriculum and one in Administration.
